The Creation story in Genesis tells us many things: For one, it tells us of the power of God. Through time and space our eternal God fashioned the universe, known and unknown. Bigger than science, The Big Bang, as it were, is God's hand ...in the beginning.

Second, it tells us of the knowledge of God. Our Creator "knit us together" (Psalm 139) and knows our inmost being, yet still loves us without measure. Third, it tells us of the creativity of God: how an all-powerful God could have formed the world instantly, but instead took His sweet time. In so doing God models the creative process for us, who are made in God's likeness.
